Join Wyandot County Public Health and the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Seneca, Ottawa, Sandusky, and Wyandot Counties in learning about the Science of Addiction at 6 p.m. July 13 at the Upper Sandusky Community Library.
The program will discuss the Healing Communities Study in Wyandot County, current drug usage trends in the local community and state, lessons learned regarding behavioral health services and the successes and challenges that accompany them, and finally access to services for treatment and recovery. MHRSB Community Outreach Coordinator Elyssa Theis and MHRSB Executive Director Mircea Handru will present the program.
Wyandot County Public Health staff will share the current resources available to Wyandot County residents for safe drug disposal and will educate attendees about Narcan (naloxone) resources in the event of an overdose.
