Do you have a favorite reading genre but no one to talk about it with? Then make way for the Inglorious Bookworms Book Club. Each month the book club will feature a different genre that you can dive into or skip.

The Inglorious Bookworms will be reading “The Devil and the Dark Water” by Stuart Turton in September. “It's 1634 and Samuel Pipps, the world's greatest detective, is being transported to Amsterdam to be executed for a crime he may, or may not, have committed. Traveling with him is his loyal bodyguard, Arent Hayes, who is determined to prove his friend innocent. But no sooner are they out to sea than devilry begins to blight the voyage . . . Could a demon be responsible for their misfortunes? With Pipps imprisoned, only Arent can solve a mystery that connects every passenger onboard. A mystery that stretches back into their past and now threatens to sink the ship, killing everybody on board.”

Copies of the book are available at the library and can be requested at the front desk. It is also available as an ebook and audiobook on Libby and hoopla.

The discussion will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28 in the library’s large meeting room.
