Common Readers to discuss "Watership Down"

Join the Common Readers Book Discussion Group this month to read a classic fantasy novel about adventure and rabbits.

Common Readers will be reading Watership Down by Richard Adams. The book is set “in England's Downs, a once idyllic rural landscape, this stirring tale of adventure, courage and survival follows a band of very special creatures on their flight from the intrusion of man and the certain destruction of their home. Led by a stouthearted pair of friends, they journey forth from their native Sandleford Warren through the harrowing trials posed by predators and adversaries, to a mysterious promised land and a more perfect society.”

Copies of the book are available for checkout at the library in regular print and Playaway. The book is also available as an ebook and digital audiobook on Libby and as a digital audiobook on hoopla.

The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the big gazebo at Stepping Stones on Tuesday, May 18. If there is inclement weather, the meeting will be held via Zoom.

The Common Readers Book Discussion Group meets at 6:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month. Readers can join the group for one, several, or every meeting.
