Common Readers to discuss Martin Pistorius' "Ghost Boy"

Join the Common Readers Book Discussion Group this month to read a memoir about a boy trapped inside his own body.

Common Readers will be reading Ghost Boy: My Miraculous Escape from a Life Locked Inside My Own Body by Martin Pistorius. The memoir “is the heart-wrenching story of one boy’s return to life through the power of love and faith. In these pages, readers see a parent’s resilience, the consequences of misdiagnosis, abuse at the hands of cruel caretakers, and the unthinkable duration of Martin’s mental alertness betrayed by his lifeless body.” Copies of the book are available for checkout at the library in regular print. The book is also available as an ebook and digital audiobook on Libby and as an audiobook on hoopla.

The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16 via Zoom. If you wish to attend the virtual meeting, email Krystal Smalley at ksmalley@seolibraries.org for the Zoom meeting information.
